The Great Treatise describes change through continual generation. This is a useful counterweight to the idea that divination simply stamps a fixed label on the future.《系辞》以不断生发来说明“易”。

A Liu Yao reading looks at relationships within a particular moment: what is active, constrained, supported or changing. Interpretation becomes useful when it returns us to the real situation and the choices still available.
